What is Cold-Pressing?

Regular juicing equipment is known as centrifugal juicers. These juicers utilise a metal blade rotating at high speeds which shred fruits and vegetables, while the centrifugal force removes juice from the pulp via a mesh filter in the juicer.

However, as heat is generated and oxidation occurs from the fast spinning blade, enzymes and nutrients are destroyed. The resultant output juice is foamy and the taste, flat.

In cold-pressing, hydraulic pressing equipment is used instead, also known as masticating or slow juicers. This technique crushes fruits and vegetables at low speeds, where the juice-extraction comes from pressing or squeezing the pulp. Minimal heat and oxidation are introduced during this extraction process.

Thus, a higher amount of enzymes and nutrients are retained in cold-pressed juices. Just by taste alone, you will be able to tell when you are drinking juices of superior quality.

WHY WE LOVE COLD-PRESSED JUICES

Carton box juices don’t cut it for us. They have no real health benefits and contain many additives and preservatives. As avid juice drinkers ourselves, discovering the technique of extracting juices using a hydraulic press was an eye-opener and a life changing moment. The quality and taste of the juices produced far exceed cartoned juices and those produced using centrifugal juicing equipment.

Try our cold-pressed juices and taste the difference for yourself!

OUR TOP-NOTCH EQUIPMENT

Juix Up uses a range of certified cold-pressing equipment from USA and Korea under renowned brands in the industry. Juix Up is also proud to be the first cold-pressed juice company in Singapore to produce cold-pressed juices using the FS30, the workhorse of hydraulic pressing equipment.

The FS30 uses 14 tons of pressure in the juice extraction process and is designed to work round the clock, 24/7, to ensure that fresh cold-pressed juices are delivered to you on a daily basis.
